She has over 20 years’ experience of carrying out search, due diligence, and consultancy projects across the legal sector. Much of her focus is geared towards assisting clients in implementing strategic growth as it relates to talent management and lateral hiring. She enjoys a significant track record in placing senior legal practitioners with a transactional, contentious, and regulatory skillset, within law firms and in-house. Her experience includes associate, counsel, and partner level placements.

She previously worked extensively with buy and sell-side financial services institutions, placing product lawyers, GCs, and regional heads. More recently, her sphere of interest has expanded into transactional areas such as Private Equity and M&A wherein she advises funds, independent boutiques, as well as specialist practice groups within law firms.

Shirin has worked across multiple jurisdictions including UK, Continental Europe, Middle East, and Asia. She grew up in Belgium, speaks fluent French, some Dutch, and has lived and worked in the Middle East. Prior to taking a career break and returning to Fides as an independent consultant, Shirin was a founder and director of Fides Search in Dubai and London. She previously established the Middle Eastern offering for a leading specialist legal search firm in the UAE.
